When they go in, they indirectly pulled in Spencer's grandpa and his grandpa's former friend. When they get in they discover that they are not the same characters. Long story short, they had to save Jumanji for this evil Viking guy. When they were going back Spencer's grandpa's newfound friends wants to stay because he is terminally ill. In the end, Spencer gets back together with his friends and family. In the last scene, you see the ostriches from Jumanji running down the street in a large herd.
